"Investing in Families"

We have heard God loud & clear!  God is at work in FAMILIES all around us.  On October 24 & November 14, 2009 we were led as a church to INVEST IN FAMILIES in 2010.  And together we agreed that we could best do this through mentoring and small group activities.  We have developed the following goals for 2010 as we endeavor to follow God's guidance in "Investing in Families".

  1. Kids in Discipleship  -  A program open to anyone wishing to develop a closer walk with God.  Contact the church office (509-946-8807) for details if you are interest in joining this small group Bible study.  They meet on the 1st and 3rd Sabbath of each month.
  2. Friends of Jason Lee - We have partnered with Jason Lee Elementary school to provide assistance to families requesting help.  As a result of this need, we have started a small group open to anyone desiring to learn what it means to be a mentor.  It's more about listening and "being there" than it is about "doing" anything.  Mentoring is not about "fixing", but about being in tune with God's Spirit and being His ears, His hands, and His feet.  You are welcome to attend these monthly meetings on the 2nd Sabbath of each month.  Call the church office for details.
  3. Small Group Ministry - There are several small groups available for you to join.  There are Bible study groups on Sabbath mornings and throughout the week.  If you are interested in a particular topic, group, or activity, contact the church office and we will discuss the opportunities available.  If you would like to host, facilitate or simply join a group, give us a call!
  4. Sabbath School - Exciting things are happening in our Children's Sabbath School program.  Come and check it out at 9:30am every Saturday morning.  We also have several adult small group study opportunities at 9:30am open to everyone.
  5. Social Events - We have formed a social team with the goal of having at least one social gathering open to everyone each month.  If you would like to be on this team, host an event, or simply find out what's happening, give us a call at 509-946-8807!
